Morning Prayer for the Family–The morning season of the
day and of life is the foundation to what follows.
“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
The Power of Morning Family Prayer: It is a period that
must not be taken for granted. Prayer is one of the best and
wisest things to do in the morning. And doing it with your
family generates better results.
“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward
for their labor” (Ecclesiastes 4:9).
The Focus of Morning Family Prayer: The morning prayer
should focus sensitive issues that are critical to the
expectations for the day ahead.
Morning prayer creates a consciousness of God in you
throughout the day. It indicates your trust in God as your only
Help to succeed in your daily activities. It conditions the
atmosphere of the day to favor your activities for that day.
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord , and He shall sustain thee:
He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved” (Psalm

Morning Prayer for the Family
Thanksgiving: Father in Jesus name, thank You for waking
us up today. Thank You for giving us peaceful sleep all night.
Thank You for the opportunity to see the brightness of another
day. Thank You for the opportunity to explore another
dimension of You today.
Favor: Father, command this day to open for our favor in
“Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and
caused the dayspring to know his place” (Job 38:12).
“The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places ; yea, I have
a goodly heritage” (Psalm 16:6).
Victory over the enemy: Go before us into this day to
discomfit every conspiracy of the enemy in Jesus name.
“And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the
Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee”
“And the Lord discomfited them before Israel, and slew them
with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the
way that goeth up to Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah,
and unto Makkedah” (Joshua 10:10)
Divine Guidance: Guide our steps in all the activities of today
in Jesus name.
“For His eyes are upon the ways of man, and He seeth all his
goings” (Job 34:21).
“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have
dominion over me” (Psalm 119:133).
Strength to overcome temptations: Lord, give us the
strength to stand with You and for You against the temptations
of today in Jesus name.
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to
man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted
above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make
a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians
