A successful interview depends on making a positive first impression, knowing how to conduct yourself once you walk through the door, conveying your skills and experience effectively, asking intelligent questions about the company, and negotiating terms that suit you both but even more important is prayers!

You’re super nervous about your upcoming job interview. You’ve read all the books and blogs on how to ace a job interview, but you still find yourself shaking with nerves. While all these go a long way in preparing for an interview, Prayer is extremely powerful and effective when you ask God for help.

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

It’s never a waste of time to pray to God.  He will always be there to lend us His ear if we are sincere in our prayers and if we play our part.

When it comes to job interviews, prayers are very important to back up all the preparations that had been made. Remember, prayer without works is dead so be sure you play your own part.

Praying for a job interview is important because it helps you to be calm and confident during the actual interview, it also allows you to feel more at ease when talking about yourself, and it gives you an opportunity to talk with God about your desires.

Do you want to succeed in your job interview? Then, you should pray and ask God for the strength and wisdom to do well. You have already done the hardest work by applying and preparing for the job. Now it is time to rest in the arms of our Creator who guides us through life’s most challenging moments.

“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established” (Proverbs 16:3)

Prayer for Job Interview

I thank you for all of your blessings, O Lord.

I pray that today I will be given a chance to prove myself. Let my potential employer see me for the diligent and hard-working person I am, and let me make an impression that I’m someone who can be relied upon. Please let them recognize my skills and commitment to my profession. Help me keep calm and focused on what needs to be done as well as provide wise answers when asked questions.

O God, I know that You have given me this day for a reason. And yet I pray that this interview be a success so that my family and I can be able to live a comfortable life. Please lead me in the right direction, Lord. Give me the words to say and give me confidence when speaking with them.

Lord. I pray that the interview with (name of company) will be successful and that they will hire me. Please help me to shine as you have helped so many others in the past. I know that you are there for me, so thank you for all your blessings and protection on my way to work every day. In your name, Amen.
