Prayer for Lost Things

Prayer for Lost Things–A lost thing is either misplaced or
stolen. In either case, it could be painful, especially if what you
lost is not your own or it’s a very important thing that belongs
to you.

“But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the
water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was
borrowed” (2 Kings 6:5).

Some times, recovering a lost thing may not be easy. Prayer
could trigger a divine leading towards where the lost object
could be found. And whenever God chooses, the recovery of a
lost thing could take a supernatural form like Elisha helping
one of the trainee Prophets to recover the borrowed lost ax-
head.

The loss of important items like a document is more disturbing
than ordinary objects, and would naturally spur one into
exploring every available means to recover it. However,
nothing can escape the power of a prayer of faith. Everyone is
happy at the recovery of his loss.

“For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost,
and is found. And they began to be merry” (Luke 15:24).

The All-seeing God: The eyes of God are everywhere, and
He could locate anything, no matter how hopelessly lost it is.

“Whither shall I go from Thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from
thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there: if I
make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there” (Psalm 139:7-8).

“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed;
neither hid, that shall not be known” (Luke 12:2).

Saul was looking for the donkeys of his father Kish, and he
consulted Prophet Samuel who could guide him. God is
indeed interested in the recovery of lost items that He likens
the kingdom of God to the recovery of a loss.

Prayer for a New Job

Thanksgiving: Father, thank You for giving me what I lost. Be
honored in Jesus name.
Forgiveness: You would not give man what You don’t want
him to have. So, the fact that it is lost is not Your will. Please,
forgive my carelessness in Jesus name.
Divine Help: Lord of all creation, You whose eyes sees all,
and whose mind knows all. Help me locate my losses and
recover them in Jesus name.
“And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after
this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him,
Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail
recover all” (1 Samuel 30:8).
Insightful Search: Father, in my search, let me gain insight
by revelation, intuition, or guided coincidences into where and
how my losses can be recovered in Jesus name.
Man was lost, and You sent Your Son to come and seek the
lost. He found us and saved us. Help me do the same to my
losses in Jesus name.

Thank You for answered prayers. In Jesus name I have
prayed. Amen!
