Prayer For New Babies – If you or someone you know just had a new baby, Congratulations!  The bible tells us clearly that children are a gift and blessing from God. However, God wants us to cherish this gift, and nurture them. Psalm 127:3

Prayer For New Babies

Thank you for my new baby 

Lord, thank you for the gift of Life. I thank you for this wonderful gift of a newborn baby, I certainly do not take this for granted and I am eternally grateful for this.

When babies are born, it shows your power, your grace, your love, your wisdom, your strength, and we can go on and on forever. It is impossible for any of us to fathom how you created life. Your wondrous works are marvelous. Thank you, Jesus.

 

I place my child in your arms

All I have is yours, Lord, including this little baby. I dedicate this child to you, may he dwell in your house all his life. May the things of God always excite him/her and let all your plans and purpose for his life come to fulfillment. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Lord protect my baby

Keep this child Lord. Let your goodness and mercy, surround him/her daily. Keep my child under the shadow of your wings and teach him/her to know that the only safe place to be is in you.

Be his/her hiding place, protect him/her from trouble and keep evil far from me and continue to fight his/her battles.

 

Let my child love and serve you with the whole of his life

Lord let my baby find his/her identity and worth in you and not in the world. Let your word dwell richly in my baby’s heart. May this he/she grow up to love and serve you and always walk in the footsteps you have laid down for him/her in life. Let this child’s heart be filled with love for you and others in Jesus’ name.

Help me to be a good role model

Fill us (parents/guardian) with divine wisdom to be a good role model for this child. Help us raise him/her in your ways and statute.

Help him walk in the company of wise and God-fearing friends

Lord, help my child to be a good friend and surround him/her also with godly friends that they may be able to influence each other positively in all aspects.

Teach him to always cast all his cares on you

Help my child know how to rely on your presence, your mercy, grace, power, and peace more than his own understanding and might.

Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

Lord, bless my child with good health and a sound mind that he/she will be able to be a blessing to the community you place him/her and be able to enjoy life to the fullest serving and praising you forever. Amen
