Prayer for Strength for a Friend

Prayer for Strength for a Friend–The journey of life is lonely
and frustrating if embarked upon without help. And when
you've got a friend whose shoulder is available for you to lean
upon, you've got gold.

“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there
is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother” (Proverbs
18:24).

“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for
adversity” (Proverbs 17:17).

Strength for the Race: Strength is the intensity of force or
power. If you have a high intensity of power, then you are
strong. There is external strength and internal strength. To sail
successfully through life, the strength you need is internal.

“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,
to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man”
(Ephesians 3:16).

Praying for Strength: There are times there is need to refill
one's reservoir of strength to be able to move on with life.

“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small”
(Proverbs 24:10).

“And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and
kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if Thou be willing,
remove this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine,

be done. And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven,
strengthening Him” (Like 22:41-43).

God is the Giver of strength. Unlike Jesus’ disciples who could
not bear Him up in prayers for at least an hour, you must be
strong to ask for strength for your friends.

Prayer for Strength for a Friend

Thanksgiving: Father, thank You for my friend. Thank You for
not leaving me isolated.
“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance
of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17).
Standing in the Gap: I receive strength to stand in the Gap
for my friend in Jesus name. I pray for my friend that You
supply him/her with sufficient inner strength to stand through
this hour of trial in Jesus name. I ask that You deliver him/her
from everything and everyone parasitic to him/her in Jesus
name.
Open Heavens: Lord, let the heavens open upon my friend for
angelic visitations for the supply of strength in Jesus name.
“Then the devil leaveth Him, and, behold, angels came and
ministered unto Him” (Matthew 4:11).
Physical Strength: Father, grant my friend the strength to
carry out all duties required of him/her in every activity area of
life in Jesus name. He/she shall not be sick in Jesus name.
“And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that
dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity” (Isaiah 33:24).

Thank You for answered prayers. In Jesus name I have
prayed. Amen!
